The month begins with July 1, when Hong Kong markets are closed in observance of Hong Kong SAR Establishment Day, potentially reducing activity in Asian trading hours and impacting instruments linked to the Hang Seng Index.
Shortly after, attention shifts to July 4, when U.S. markets close for Independence Day. As one of the most influential financial centres pauses, this holiday is expected to result in significantly lighter global liquidity, particularly affecting cross-asset trading and overlapping European–U.S. sessions. In addition, July 14 (Bastille Day in France) and July 24 (Pioneer Day in parts of the United States) may contribute to more localized reductions in market participation.
